Kilimanjaro Scenic Lodge

spent 3 nights at Kilimanjaro Scenic Lodge, and it was truly a memorable experience. The lodge is owned and operated by Mr. Gabriel, who made us feel completely at home. The property is peaceful, surrounded by beautiful nature—an ideal place to relax and recharge. What really made the difference was Mr. Gabriel’s incredible hospitality. He helped us arrange transportation from the airport, transfers to Arusha, and even local tours to explore nearby adventures. From a Moshi-style barbecue to finding medicine when we needed it, he took care of everything with genuine care. The homemade meals were delicious and gave us the energy we needed after our Kilimanjaro climb. We especially enjoyed our long conversations with Mr. Gabriel about Tanzanian culture—his deep respect for community and tradition shines through in everything he does. Mr. Gabriel puts is incredibly resourceful and passionate—whether it’s organizing safaris, cooking local cuisine, or curating authentic experiences. If you’re looking for genuine hospitality and a place that feels like home, Kilimanjaro Scenic Lodge is the perfect choice.

Located on a quiet area and with a beautiful Garden. The host Gabriel is very kind and available to Help. We arranged the transfer and the city tour with him and it was perfect The room is just like the photos and clean. Good breakfast Thanks for everything!

We stayed 4 nigths in this lodge. Room was fine, clean and includes a private bathroom with shower. Gabriel is your host and ensures that your stay is pleasurable. Takes the time to host you and is willing to organise various activities. Breakfast is well taken care of and dinner menu somewhat limited in choice but ok. Lisa takes care of you. We had a great view from our room towards the Kilimanjaro mountain, however one needs some luck to see it due to the cloudcover in the area.

Very nice place. We spent 1 night there after 2 weeks of meetings with our partners in Arusha. Great rooms, very good food in the restaurant. The owner gave us a warm welcome. The price for the room with breakfast was fine. But any additional things we checked on were very expensive. The food a la carte in the restaurant, drinks and especially transport we asked for. It was only possible to pay cash and we wanted to pay in Tanzanian Shilling instead of USD. The exchange rate he asked for was 15% worse than usual. Seems that this is the way for him to compensate for the okay price of the rooms. We do not like such behavior thus for us it will be the only stay despite the fact we did really like the place.

Sadly only got to spend one night here; Gabriel and his team are excellent hosts and are expanding the lodge each year. Currently they have 8 rooms and hope to expand to 11. We got to stay in a new room as the first guests. Beautifully decorated. Great food at the restaurant. Team was very helpful is organizing a quick foray into town to pick up last minute gifts for family and friends.
